The Founder

Hello, my name is Jason Harwig. I’m a software developer working in Northern Virginia, US. I’m employed by a company called Near Infinity Corporation. The work I’m involved with usually involve web applications. I have spoken at a couple times at the No Fluff Just Stuff conference. I have a company blog where I write on JavaScript, and other web technologies.

I started learning cocoa a couple years ago, and finally got a chance to attend the excellent Big Nerd Ranch Cocoa Boot-camp. I’ve always loved creating rich-client applications. I actually like Swing, and SWT is cool, but they just aren’t as much fun as Cocoa.

Pine Point Software

I started this company as a way to release software that I work on in my spare time. My goal is to create things that I need or think are cool, then release them to the public.

The name Pine Point refers to the property name of a family-owned cabin in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.
